The December meeting of the Ceiriog Valley Women's Section of the RBL was opened by the chairman, Mrs June Chatton. Members stood for the Exhortation and Silent Tribute, remaining standing in memory of Mrs Glenys Jones, a faithful member, until her illness.

The secretary welcomed Mrs Ann Jones, who gave a demonstration on making Christmas Cards, this was followed by all members and guests having a go at making some cards. The chairman Mrs Chatton thanked Mrs Jones for a most enjoyable afternoon. The secretary, Mrs Anne Northwood then presented her with a gift in appreciation of her work.

The afternoon concluded with refreshments which had a Christmas theme.
